Introducing llms.txt: Making Websites AI-Readable

At Wild Apple, we’re always exploring new ways to keep your website ahead of the curve. That’s why we build most of our sites on our Breeze platform, powered by Duda—one of the most innovative web builders available. This year, Duda has introduced a suite of powerful AI-driven features to boost website performance, and one standout update we’re excited to share is the automatic rollout of the llms.txt file.

llms.txt as a roadmap for AI tools

What is llms.txt?
Think of llms.txt as a roadmap for AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, and Perplexity. Just like robots.txt guides search engines on what to crawl, llms.txt is specifically designed for large language models, providing a clear and structured overview that helps them understand exactly what your site is about.

How does it help?
Every time you publish your site, llms.txt is automatically updated ensuring AI tools reference your most accurate, up-to-date content, not outdated or messy HTML. Only public-facing pages are included, so your private or draft content stays protected.  This is what's published to the llms.txt file:

  • A list of your live URLs, like blog posts, native store products & categories, and multi-languages
  • The meta descriptions of each page (if they exist, otherwise we’ll use the meta titles)
  • Only the good stuff - no drafts or no-index pages

Why does it matter?
With AI search becoming more common, having structured, accessible information is key to being featured in instant answers, summaries, and recommendations. llms.txt gives your website a leg up, making it more discoverable and accurately represented in AI-driven search results, all without you needing to do a thing.

Want to see it?

It’s a small file with a big impact, Wild Apple clients hosted in Breeze can just go to their website and add /llms.txt to the end of the URL in the address bar.  Here is the LLMS file for Wild Apple.

That’s your AI-friendly content map in action 😎
