Hosting FAQS
What is closed-source hosting?
Closed-source hosting, often called proprietary hosting, refers to web hosting services that use software developed and controlled by a specific company or organization. Unlike open-source software, the source code for closed-source solutions is private and not accessible to the public, preventing users from modifying or distributing it. This reduces the risk of vulnerabilities being exploited by hackers, as the code remains private.
Do you offer FTP services?
No, there is no FTP or SSH access provided, which means users cannot directly access or manage server files as they might with traditional hosting.
Is there a hosting control panel?
Breeze is hosted on a platform and does not provide access to hosting control panels like cPanel or Plesk, which are common in traditional hosting environments. Breeze hosting is fully managed on AWS servers, and users interact with their sites through the proprietary dashboard.
Can you move a Breeze website and host on another server?
No, sites developed in Breeze arenot compatible with other hosting environments, similiar to other platform web builders like Wix and Squarespace.
Breeze does provide a site export option that allows you to download a .zip folder with your published site’s content, including HTML, JavaScript, CSS, images, and media files. However, e-commerce components, blogs, dynamic pages, and personalized elements are not fully included or functional in the exported files. Additionally, Breeze does not offer FTP or SSH access.
If you decide to migrate away from Breeze, we recommend rebuilding the site on your new platform, as manual migration by copying content is often the most practical approach. We’re committed to supporting you through this transition by maintaining a live copy of your site that you can access during the process.
Can you host DNS in Breeze?
No, but we’re here to assist you in configuring DNS with any service provider of your choice. Additionally, we can recommend trusted DNS services that we prefer to ensure a smooth setup.
Do you provide Email Services?

Can we host any site on Breeze?
While Breeze, which is Wild Apple's white label name for our hosting platform, primarily operates as a closed ecosystem designed to host and manage websites created within its own website builder, there may be possibilities for hosting in specific cases. If your site was developed on the same underlying platform, it could potentially be migrated to our agency with some adjustments. However, the majority of websites we handle often require a manual rebuild when transitioning from other platforms like WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, and others, due to differences in systems and the need to reorganize content for optimal performance.
Do you support audio, and video?
Yes, Breeze supports hosting files, audio, and video through direct uploads via its Media Manager or widgets, with optimization for web performance and specific size limits (e.g., 50 MB per image, audio, and file; 200 MB per video), alongside third-party integrations for enhanced functionality with services like SoundCloud, Vimeo and Youtube.
Do you provide access to core platform code?
As a proprietary platform, Breeze does not provide full server access (e.g., via FTP or SSH) or allow users to directly manage the underlying codebase of the platform itself. This means that while you can add or modify certain code elements within the editor’s constraints, you cannot access or alter the core platform code or host external codebases directly on Breeze servers.
As an agency, we also do not have access to the core system and can only extend the platform using their APIs, which adds an extra layer of security to the overall system.
Are websites built in Breeze compliant with WCAG and ADA standards?
The Breeze platform is designed with accessibility in mind, leveraging semantic HTML5 elements to ensure compatibility with assistive technologies like screen readers.
